Welcome 2009 - Καλωσόρισες 2009!

Well I'm not so sad that 2008 is leaving... although good things happened to me this year, I feel glad it's leaving and hope to take with it all these issues that stressed people around the world. Greece had it's bad time too and we all hope - like every new year - that something will change and get again to a better cource...

Of cource just hoping is not enough and it's not enough to hope that others will change to make our lives better.... WE have to change, WE have to take action, WE have to feel responsible, WE have to start care of what happens right next to us and be better persons, better citizens....

So, my wish for this year is ME to change....

Καλωσόρισες 2009! Καθόλου δεν με στεναχωρεί που το 2008 έλαβε τέλος, παρά το γεγονός οτι για μένα ειχε και τα καλά του... Νομίζω ομως οτι ολοι μας σε ολο τον κόσμο ενοιωσαν λιγο βαρύ το 2008 και δεν χρειάζεται να κανω απολογισμό.... Και στην Ελλάδα τα πράγματα φαίνονται δύσκολα και μελαγχολικά και σε καθε κουβέντα μας εκφράζουμε συνεχώς την απογοήτευση αλλά και την ελπίδα ότι κατι θα αλλάξει και θα δούμε τη χώρα μας και όλο το κόσμο σε μια νεα καλύτερη πορεία....

Οι ελπίδες ομως δεν είναι αρκετές!

Η αλλαγή πρέπει να ξεκινήσει πρώτα απο εμας τους ίδιους...

Εμείς πρέπει να αλλάξουμε, να αναλάβουμε δράση, να γινουμε καλύτεροι και υπευθυνοι ανθρωποι και πολίτες, να αρχίσουμε να νοιαζόμαστε για ολα αυτά που συμβαίνουν διπλα μας και γύρω μας...

Ετσι, η ευχή μου για αυτό το χρόνο ειναι αυτή..

Εγώ να βρω τη δύναμη να αλλάξω...

Lucky Charms for 2009 - Γουρια για το 2009

New Year 2009 is out of our door ready to knock...:) We all hope that brings good things for us!

Everyone has different expectations from new year but we all feel that it will be a new start for something better...

So let's hope... but also let's help filling our houses with good and hopeful symbols like these lucky charms!!!

They are my new designs, custom order for a friend of mine. I hope she gets the best from the new year!

'Ολοι ελπίζουμε σε κάτι καλύτερο, σε μια νέα αρχή... Ας ελπίζουμε λοιπόν.... αλλά και λίγη βοήθεια δεν βλάπτει :) Και ένα γούρι ισως βοηθήσει.

Το καραβι και το πουγγί είναι 2 νέα σχέδια μου, παραγγελία μιας φίλης μου.

Της εύχομαι και εύχομαι και σε όλους μας το Καλύτερο για το 2009!!!!

Lucky Charms as we do them in Greece - "Gouria"! - New designs - Γούρια2009...

These lucky charms - in Greece we called them "gouria" - are very favorite in my country. This is a "must have" item especially for every New year.

With gouri we decorate our houses, offices, cars, key chains or we make jewels with them....We believe that they attract positive energy and good luck!

This is not having to do with anything religious it's just a beautiful and loving tradition we have!

We use many, many symbols and as they are also fashion items, the designs are endless and very free in inspiration and use of colors!This is a gift that always we accept with great pleasure!!!!
